Dad arrived from Glasgow when he was a child, began his career in poultry when he was a teenager and has been in the industry his entire life. This was the beginning of a lifetime family generational love of chickens. Since childhood, we worked on our parent’s farm collecting eggs from the sheds and doing exciting things like driving tractors and riding motorbikes. The farming life was a great way to grow up.

Although myself (Sally) and my brother John explored different paths as young adults, we were always drawn back to the farming lifestyle and went back to help our parents with the family business. They say you can take the farmer out of the farm, but not the farm out of the farmer. Since then, the Fyfe clan has multiplied, with my kids Sian (16), Lucas (13) and Lachlan (12), always lending a helping hand.

You’ll find the kids in the cool room operating the machines, packing the eggs, or herding the hens back home for bedtime. In their spare time, they love spending time outdoors, fishing, playing sports, gardening and learning about agriculture in school. We’re huge animal lovers, currently living on our farm in Hawkesbury NSW, with our pet goats, a Jersey cow, rabbits, 2 dogs, 1 cat and of course, our beloved hens.
